The Cinta Muraria of Cellino Attanasio is a significant historical structure in the center of the medieval village of Cellino Attanasio in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo. This well-preserved city wall dates back to the late 15th century and attests to the strategic importance of the location during that period.
History and significance:
Originally owned by the Benedictines, Cellino Attanasio was taken over by the dukes of Atri, the Acquaviva, in the late 14th century. Under their rule, the city wall with nine cylindrical towers was built, of which only two are in good condition today. These towers served both as defensive structures and as symbols of the Acquaviva's power.

The city wall of Cellino Attanasio is characterized by its massive brick constructions and the distinctive cylindrical shape of the towers. The wall encloses the historical center of the village and offers an impressive view of the surrounding landscape. The remaining towers are crowned with battlements and reflect the military architectural style of the time.
